Established in 1996 in Andria, Puglia, through the initiative of C.i.Bi. and the technical staff of the Oil & Quality Program, it represents the most important international event in the entire extra virgin olive oil sector in terms of the number of participants (olive producers), number of countries involved, number of experts and consumers involved, and mentions in both specialized and general press. The mission of the BIOL, encapsulated in the motto “making a difference,” has for years been to seek out new products and learn to appreciate the differences.
